The Comet Theater successfully completed a fundraising campaign on Kickstarter.com and raised over $80,000 in funds to buy and install a new digital projection system.  The Comet Theater would like to thank everyone for your support, hard work, and donations to help us project into the future. It looks as though the transition will take place the first week in June 2013.  "IRONMAN 3" will be the last film not movie to be shown at the Comet.....hope to see you soon!!!!

Established in 1939 the Comet Theater is now celebrating its 74th year in business. The Comet Theater is the longest continuous running movie theater in the state of Minnesota. We are located in Cook MN, 30 miles north of Virginia on Hwy. 53. Cook, a small town of 600, borders beautiful Lake Vermilion. and is also a gateway to Voyager National Park.
